In their latest statement (issued on November 10th), the Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem have urged that Christians mark Christmas this year with restraint on festivity and focus on prayer. They suggest that giving generously to the relief of suffering in the area would also be a suitable way of celebrating the Incarnation. The full text of their statement is below.
